Johnny was an inspiration for me growing up in Mt. Vernon. He crossed barriers that opened the doors for young black men such as myself. He was truly a great man and always had a smile and words of encouragement for everyone. My prayers and sympathy are with you all!

Life is so precious and every moment should be carefully cherished. Brother Johnson was a wonderful person. He always made you feel part of the body no matter what the circumstances were. He was an example of malehood and a faithful servant of the Lord. On behalf of my husband, Pastor Dillon, and myself, Missionary Dillon we are praying for you and your family. Remember,"Because He Lives", You can face tomorrow. Unfortunately, we can not be with you at the celebration of his life at this time, but know that earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal.

Evangelist Johnson, what a pleasure and privilege it is to call Deacon Johnson "friend and brother!" A kinder, gentler, and more genuine example of Christ's grace and gentility I do not know. I know that your relationship with Christ will carry you through the future. Our prayers are with you and our love is extended to you and your family. Blessings, Bishop Carl and Sister Merlene Mann

As You Honor Your Husband: To know sorrow is to acknowledge the love that was yours....To carry on with heart full of memories is to be wholly and lovingly human....To heal, day by day is to build a bridge of love that will reach far beyond time into forever. Thinking of you in your sorrow and wishing you comfort in the memories and the love that you shared. Miss'y Bobbie Naugle
