John WHEELER Obituary
He resided in Flippin, Ark., but spent most of his life in Hampton, Va. He was a longtime employee of Newport News Shipbuilding. He also worked as a painter and at a saw mill in Arkansas. He loved bowling, wood working, and camping.
John was preceded in death by his son, Michael J. Wheeler; and parents, Maxwell and Helen Wheeler.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Wheeler; daughter, Melissa A. Hicks, her husband, Nathan; and grandson, Tyler; two sisters, Ruth Jones and Gloria Floyd; two brothers, Ronald and Donald Wheeler; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, at New Life Ministry Center in Gloucester, Va. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.
