Mr. Butler, to me, was a very caring and loving person, both to his family and friends. It was very enjoying to talk with him and his love of his country. He told me stories from his military days and we all owe a great deal of gratitude for his sacrifices for us all. I and all others who came in contact with him will remember him fondly. You all have my deepest sympathy for your loss.

Dear Janice Lee,Richi,Amy,Ryan,JC,Cassie, and Ronnie
Uncle Joe will be greatly missed by me. I did'nt get to spend as much time with him as I would have liked to. Unfortunetly life got in the way. I have so many fond memories of him, aunt alice, bubba and of course you. I am thankful for my empecible memory. Ramona and I were reflecting on our earliest memories of you guys. For me it was your wedding to Richie. I remember just about the whole thing including on how hot it was outside. I was almost 5 or 6. Ramona said you Richi and bubba were teenagers. She remembers the wedding too. I remember riding my bicycle to Uncle Joe and Aunt Alice's house on my way to the Brentwood Pharmacy to spend my 26 cents on candy. That was my allowance until I was i highschool!!!! Ha!!
I am honored that God picked me to spend the last hour with my buddy. It has definetly humbled me.
Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what your going to get!!!
I am soo glad I got my Buddy. We could and did talk about any and everything.
That is what family is all about.
I will really miss him but am glad he has moved to his final phase God has prepared for him. He has his leg back too.!!!! He can probably do more kartwheels than me now.!!!!
Amazing Grace was perfect. And You know what I mean.
I love you guys,
Shannon

Janice, Richard, Amy, Ryan and Families,

We are so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Joe was such a good man and always full of laughter. We enjoyed talking to your Mom and Dad years ago when they would come over to visit you, back when we lived in the neighborhood. They both were such good people, just like you are. Joe will be so missed by all that knew him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

To the family of Mr.Joe, I was his neighbor and for 22yrs we were friends. I cannot write my life story without including him and I loved him as though he were my daddy. We both were Veterans and Army (at that) and both stationed at Ft McClellan,Ala.When told of his passing,I was so broken, it may well have been my own father( for that's how much he was loved by people). Mr. Joe ,thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life these last 22yrs.To the family I am so sorrow for your loss;there will never be another Mr.Joe!

Uncle Joe, I'm sorry I didn't visit you more often, but the times I did, they were wonderful visits. You were always smiling about something fun and would tell me stories about some of your life when you were young. And sometimes a most recent happening that would make you happy and you shared with me. I love you always and may the Lords presents be with Janice and her family during this difficult time. Saran, Phil and family.
