To my dad Joseph E Wright:

Your family will miss hearing you come down the hall to see who stop by to visit. Cooking out on the grill (the ribs & fish). Thanksgiving being all together and eating what everyone cooked. Your famous sayings to include "Jack" "I took and told you." "If its the Lords will." "And everything." Your license plate that at one time said "The JEW". While in school my friends use to ask me if my dad was a jew. I would explain that it was the initials of his name but they still thought you were jewish. I will never forget the time you went to my oldest sons honor role assembly because he didnt want to go because the other students were teasing him for making honor role. After that he never said anything about anyone teasing him for doing well in school and has attended every other assembly that recognized his accomplishments. Im sad that you are gone and will miss you greatly. But I am glad for the memories, the time, and for knowing that one day I will see you again.

With love (your second to the oldest daughter),

To: Mrs. Mabel C. Wright and the Entire Family :

I am offering my deepest sympathy in the loss of your love one. I have not had the pleasure of meeting your family in person but I have heard good things. I can remember on several occasions that I would be talking on the telephone to my "Other Mother", Mrs. Eatmon,
your neighbor, when I hear her yell "HEY MR. JOSEPH, HOW ARE YOU DOING? So, I made it a practice to ask her each time I called, how was Mr. Joseph. She would say he is coming along, but when I asked her on yesterday, she said sorrowfully that Mr. Joseph had GONE HOME to receive his AWARD. This was an emotional moment for Mrs. Eatmon and I, so we both hung up the phone. This gentleman touched my heart through someonelse. I am praying that God's Bountiful Blessings continue to shower upon Each of You.
