Judith McConnell Obituary
A native of Newport News, she worked as a school nurse in Newport News and Gloucester.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. McConnell Sr.
Survivors include her daughter, Temple M. Moorehead (Kevin); son, James L. McConnell Jr. (Sandra); sister, Molly Perdue (Frank); as well as five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Warwick Memorial UMC, 38 Hoopes Rd., NN, with family receiving friends after the service.
Memorial donations may be sent to Hampton Roads Chapter Red Cross, Blood Services, 4915 W. Mercury Blvd., Newport News, VA 23605.

Temple & Jim, I am so sad to hear about Judy. I just received word about your mom's passing today or I would have been at the memorial service. She and your dad are a part of almost every happy memory I have prior to their moving to Cobb's Creek. They often provided a safe haven and I can't begin to tell you how precious that was. I wish I'd been able to have Judy meet my daughter, Josephine. She's been hearing stories about "Mac & Judy" for years now, LOL. It's one of those things that I always meant to do and didn't realize that time was passing so quickly. Mac and Judy will always hold a piece of my heart. Please know I'll be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
