Judy DARLING Obituary
She was born in Yuba City, Calif., and had been a Peninsula resident since 1974. Judy served in the U.S. Army and retired from the City of Hampton. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church where she was involved in H.O.P.E.S. and the eucharistic ministry. Judy also was involved in PORT - a community outreach for the homeless.
Survivors include her two children, Irene Koutsogiannis of Newport News, and Thomas M. Darling of Hampton; and two grandchildren, whom she adored, Elizabeth Koutsogiannis and Michael Thomas Koutsogiannis, both of Newport News.
She will be missed for her passion, loyalty, and humor. May her memory be eternal.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.

Judy was a good friend of mine and will be greatly missed. When my mother and father passed away, she was there for me with spiritual support.
Stay strong Irene and Tommy. I have found time is a great healer.
