Julea OWENS Obituary
Eve enjoyed her littlest pet shops, fairies and horses. She loved chicken nuggets and anything with "sugar." She was fun, loving and had a wonderful fiery spirit and gave us all such courage.
Her grandfather, Gene Vause; and uncle, Donald Vause preceded her in death.
She is survived by her family she loved so much, her mother, Katie Vause and stepfather, Rens de Graaff; father, Bruce Owens and stepmother, Patty; brothers, Bradley, Zackeri and Owen; maternal grandmother, Julie Vause; paternal grandparents, Johnny and Doris Owens; uncle, Brian Owens and wife, Dianna; a host of cousins and other special friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of Children's Hospital of King's Daughters, Hematology-Oncology Floor, for the love and care given to Eve.

I would like to share a message from one of the people in my BB Quilting Group who has also been praying for Eve. "Oh Karran, my heart and prayers go to the family... God takes the littles ones home when the "world" does not have the capacity or the knowledge to care for them the way Jesus can. That is little comfort to those that will feel the pain of the empty arms.

Bruce and family, we are saddened to hear of your beautiful little Julea's passing. We had no idea that you were dealing with such a devasting situation. We can only imagine your grief. We wish you had been spared such pain. She was sent to you for a reason and we know that she had a wonderful life even though it was cut short, she was deeply loved and there are alot of people who never experience such a love. Take comfort in knowing that you were a wonderful father and she did leave this Earth to move on to a better place where there is no more pain or suffering. We did not know Julea and her family but Chris Owens is part of our family and this is a great loss to him and Julea's family. What a sweet little angel. My son, Chandler, was in Eve's kindergarten class, and we were so upset yesterday when we read that she had passed. Chandler says he remembers her being a really sweet little girl, and talked about how much fun they used to have playing games together at school. I knew Little Eve, as I always called her, only through her close friends, Kristie and Brandon who live next door to us. Since I first heard about her illness, not only have I prayed every day for God to take the cancer away completely, but have also had my 55 friends in my online quilting guild praying for her as well as adding her to other prayer groups. Now that she is in Heaven I like to think of her playing with my little ones; her pain gone forever. You don't know us, but my son and daughter attend Hardy Elementary. When I heard about Eve's illness in April, it absolutely broke my heart. Although our daughter has a very serious disability that will affect her entire life, we have never been through anything like this. It must be difficult to have strength at a time like this, but I know that God will guide you. Eve is an angel in heaven now, and a very beautiful one. We are sorry to hear of Eve's passing. I am so sorry for the loss of such a young girl that I didn't even know. I see she has touched the heart of many people and I pray for her family's strength at such a sad time. My condolences.

As well as others who have signed this I never met Eve,but followed her story thru mutual friends..My children and i have prayed for your family for months and will continue to pray that you find peace and comfort... Your a very strong Momma! take care and God BLESS you and your family!
