WILLIAMSBURG - Larry G. Allamong, 62, of Williamsburg, died on March 24, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert B. Allamong, Sr. and Diana Fox Allamong. A graduate of Shikellamy High School, Sunbury, PA and Penn State College of Technology, Williamsport, PA, Larry worked for many years in the shipbuilding industry as a Senior HVAC Designer. He was most recently employed by Bruce S. Rosenblatt & Associates, LLC. He was a member of the Williamsburg Mennonite Church. As a lover of automobiles, Larry enjoyed autocross racing, was a member of the Sports Car Club of America and the Virginia Motor Sport Club, and spent many hours painstakingly restoring British sports cars, especially his beloved 1972 MGB. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda L. Allamong and his daughter, Courtney Allamong, both of Williamsburg; his brother, Robert B. Allamong, Jr., of Florida; and his step-sister, Kathryn Allamong-Jacob, of Massachusetts. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 30 at 11:00 AM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg, VA, with Rev. David Lehman officiating.
