"Uncle Maynard" as we called him, used to visit us a lot when we were kids. He was a good friend of my Dad's. I thought he was my Uncle until I guess I was a teenager. I know we all loved him and were always happy to see him. I've often wondered about him over the years and I'm glad to know he lived a nice long life. Mrs. Maynard, I'm so sorry for your loss,I know you'll miss him very much. I like to think "Uncle Maynard" and my Dad will be hanging out laughing together once again....

It's been many years since I would visit "Uncle" Maynard with my dad. I know that he was always one of my dads good and true friends. Though a lot of time has passed I do remember what I nice man he was and how much I enjoyed visiting. I'm hopeful that now he and dad can meet again and enjoy God's eternal blessings together.

Betty,
We're so very sorry for the loss of Lawrence. He truly was like a father figure to me and some of my fondest childhood memories are of him lifting me over my parents' fence so I could visit with you both - then when I got too big for him to lift, him and my dad built a bridge across the ditch between the houses! I will never forget Lawrence and all the special times we shared! We love you!

I grew up across the street from Mr. Maynard. He was a quiet man and a gentle man. I will always have memories of the great neighborhood I grew up in and Mr. Maynard was part of that experience.
