WILLIAMSBURG - Lelia Graves Bage, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 24, 2013, in Envoy of Williamsburg. Her life began on March 9, 1919, the daughter of the late Lelia and James A. Graves, of James City County, Virginia. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a faithful member of Union Baptist Church, Highland Park. She graduated from the James City County Training School. Lelia was employed for many years at Matthew Whaley School and she retired as a Psychiatric Charge Aide, from Eastern State Hospital. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ollie E. Bage and twelve of her siblings. She is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Helen G. Wynne-Dandridge (Walter); her devoted nephew, Warren Wynne (Mable); her special niece, Deborah Vaughan; her Godson, Eric O. Wynne (LaRhonda); and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 29, 2013, in Union Baptist Church, Highland Park, with Pastor Clarence Bolton officiating. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. The family will assemble at 117 Drew Road (Carver Gardens) by 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Mrs. Bage may be viewed in Whiting's Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday. Services are entrusted to Whiting's Funeral Home, 7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg. 757-229-3011.
