Lillian Zellars Obituary

HAMPTON - On Oct. 20, 2009 the soul/spirit of our dear Lillian ascended to the Father who gave it. She was born Sept. 16, 1925 in Tampa, Fla., the eldest of five children of William M. Scott Sr. and Lucy Morton-Scott, of the Cayman Islands.
Preceded in death by her father and mother; her second husband, Timothy Zellars of Pittsburgh, Pa.; her first husband, James F. Ezell of Grove Hill, Ala.; her sister, Margaret Griffin of Tampa, Fla.; and her brother, William M. Scott Jr. of Vacaville, Calif., she leaves to cherish her memories two brothers, Samuel J. Scott Sr. (Ann Chavers) of Hampton, Va., and Albert B. Scott (Nang) of Vacaville, Calif.; a host of friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lillian earned her LPN from Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, serving there many years with a nationally-renowned staff until her retirement. She received many honors and the respect of all she served with.

Sam & Ann
My condolences to you. Yes, my Aunt Lil will be missed. I was just thinking of her Sunday, coming from church. A few hours later, while reading the paper I saw her picture. She was definitely a mother figure to me and a teacher. We had some good times on Frazier Street and Laketon Rd. She will always be in my heart.
