Linda SPENCER Obituary

GLOUCESTER - Linda Keicer Spencer, 65, passed away on Dec. 7, 2009, at home with her family.
She was born in Saltville, Va., on March 12, 1944, and had lived in Gloucester for the last 28 years. She was a member of Langley Baptist Church of Hampton. Linda worked for Casey Auto Group of Newport News for 12 years. She enjoyed bowling, was an avid fisherman, known for her flounder fishing, winning many awards during her life. She enjoyed traveling and spending much time with her family. She will be remembered as a sweet and caring individual and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul H. Keicer.
She is survived by her husband, James Edward Spencer; two daughters, Barbara Houston and husband, Carman of Quinton, Va.; Brenda Linkous and husband, Robert of Williamsburg, Va.; two grandchildren, Nicole and Logan Houston of Quinton, Va.; mother, Lavonia Keicer of Newport News, Va.; sister, Jenny Manus and husband, Robert of Gloucester, Va.; as well as many friends and extended family.
A gathering of friends will be held Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
