Sorry to hear Lloyd passed away several years ago. I was thinking of the incredible images of submarines that he captured when working for Newport News Shipbuilding. I remember him always ready to smile as he shared his knowledge of photography and his experience as a cameraman in the air in front of the finest submarines in the world. I was lucky enough to receive some of those images. Thank you Lloyd. It was a fabulous experience for
Me to meet you. John Aikin.

To the Everton Family: Lloyd will be remembered by many because of the innumerable examples of maritime photographic art he created. I'll remember him best because for a few years, Lloyd undetook numerous photo assignments to document progress and problems on NNS projects for which I was responsible. He was always patient and took the trouble to understand what was needed. He also offered to show me what would be in a photo (by looking through his camera view-finder - long before digital cameras). I did that for a while, then just trusted him completely. I don't recall ever having to ask for a reshoot. I guess that's a pretty fair eulogy for a professional cameraman...

Dear Msrtha, I was sorry to see Lloyd's death in the newspaper. It has been many years since I've worked with you or seen you, but I have seen Lloyd at work in the shipyard, when he would come into the building that I worked in. He ws a nice person. I hope that GOD will be with you and your family during this sad time in your life, and give you the strength that you need to get through it. Time and time alone can heal your broken hearts.

Dear Lloyd Everton Family, I went to school with Lloyd and worked in the same building with him at the shipyard. He sang "Old Man River" in the 1958 Hampton High Concert. He had the most beutiful base voice I have ever heard. I was very sorry to learn of his death. You have my sympathy. Pat Allen

I knew Lloyd for many years when he and I were employed at the shipyard. He was a true professional and gained positive notoriety for many brilliant photographs, especially the submarine breaking through the water with bow above the water-line at a sharp angle. I knew him to be courteous, friendly, and cooperative. He will be missed and I send sincere condolences to his family.
