Upon returning home yesterday morning I received the numerous condolences that were sent by you all via mail, email, voicemail, and deliveries to my home and I wish to extend my most sincere feelings of gratitude to each of you for your concern and acts of kindness towards me and family in our time of grief. As some of you already know, I was raised by my grandmother from birth so for all intents and purposes she was my mother. Until the day of her passing she was successfully living independently, and other than progressive hearing loss was a notably healthy 85 year-old woman. Her capacity for kindness, compassion, and unconditional love for others was extraordinary and that legacy helped to mold me into the man that I am today. The suddenness of her passing is still settling in at this point and the reality of her departure is a bit surreal being that she has been a center piece of every chapter of my life. However, my sense of grief is outweighed by an overwhelming sense of gratitude and appreciation for what she contributed to me and the lives of many others. Again I thank each of you for your thoughts, prayers, and heart felt condolences.

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you... Do not let your heart be troubled ..." John 14:27
During this difficult time, may the comfort of God's loving arms carry you through the quiet moments, and bring you peace.
