Lonnie O'CONNELL Obituary
He was a native and lifelong resident of Hampton. He had been a member of the band, "Gatorhead" since 2003.
Preceded in death by his father, Lawrence O'Connell; and his maternal grandmother, Josephine Arnold, survivors include his wife, Nancy O'Connell; his son, Lonnie O'Connell Jr.; his mother, JoAnn O'Connell; his brother, Roy Hoppe; his sister, Lora O'Connell; and his niece and nephew, Destiny and Michael O'Connell.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

My heart breaks for you all knowing that you've all lost so much and are so very sad. Remember all the good times and smile. Know that Loni is with his Dad and the two of them are well taken care of. So very sorry you all have to go through this yet again.

O'Connell family , My heart goes out to all of you. I have known Lonnie a very long time. We go way, way, way back to the Zodiac and Petros days he was a VERY GOOD tipper and no Nancy you can't have the money back!!! Even further than that he was a very good friend of my brother Joe Waltz I'm sure he can tell you some stories!!!!! May God comfort your souls,you all are in my prayers

I'm in shock this could happen to such a young man. His pain is over but your grief must be unbearable at this time. Saddened all the future times you won't have him at special family happenings. I just remember Loni as such a joyous young boy, mischief and all. Always a smile and happy. So sad at this time of year too. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I can remember Lonnie in my rod shop telling me what he wanted in a fishing rod & what he was going to catch on it. I am truly sorry that he left this earth so soon but I am envious too as he now fishes with Jesus one of the best. please except my apologise & if I can help in anyway let me know.
