Lorene RICHARDSON Obituary

JAMES CITY - Lorene Austin Richardson, 79, affectionately known as "GiGi", of James City County, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 5, 2010.
Lorene was born July 11, 1931, and lived a long life surrounded by family and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, Marie and Richard Austin and by her husband of 47 years, T. Earl Richardson.
Lorene is survived by her children, Edna R. Watts (Jerry), of Kathleen, Ga., Rebecca R. Abbott (Bruce), and J. Roy Richardson. She also leaves behind four granddaughters, Heather A. Theakston (Ned) of Hanover, Sherry A. Coley (Donavan), Cheryl Watts of Atlanta, Ga., and Staff Sergeant Tracie Watts of the United States Air Force, of Fort Meade, Md. GiGi will be deeply missed by her five great-grandchildren, Brittany Leighann Coley, Reece Thomas Theakston, Nathan Bruce Coley, Joseph Taylor Theakston, Joshua Blake Coley.
Lorene was a lifelong member of James River Baptist Church, where she used to serve as the organist and pianist during the Sunday morning services. She was also involved in documenting and maintaining historical records for the church. In GiGi's spare time she expressed her creative endeavors by knitting for her family and friends as well as her granddaughter Heather's class.
Services to honor Lorene's full life will be held at James River Baptist Church on Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at 11 a.m. Visitation will take place Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Bucktrout from 3 to 5 p.m..
