Dear Sandi, Barry, Anita, & Beverly:
In my youth we lived in adjacent houses on Fort Worth Street, separated by Athens Avenue. I remember your mother as a lovely, warm, sweet woman. Even after moving, I would see her at the polls on every election day, and we would enjoy a little visit -- and I would enjoy an admonishment!! That is, of course, the way of good mothers -- to allow the next generations the benefit of their accumulated wisdom. Good lessons were learned!!
Though grief over your loss is prevalent, I am happy you had such a great mother, and that she lived a long and fulfilled life. Your family will remain a cherished part of my memories from the 1960s.
I offer my most sincere condolences and prayers for all to whom Loretta Seay was dear. She is, surely, in blessed peace.

To Mom,
I know this message is a little too late but I wanted to say I always loved you. In spirit, I know you knew that. Wish we could have communicated better. Will miss you always.

Anita,
I saw your Mom's obituary in the paper and wanted to tell you, Luke and your family how sorry I was to hear this news. I never met your Mom in person but during the many years we worked together, your stories helped me to get a sense of just how wonderful she was. And, what a wonderful family she raised! Again, I didn't know your sisters and brother except from you mentioning them, but I knew you - you were a great "living testimony" for the grand job your Mom did in raising her family. Joe and I are thinking of you and praying for you -- the loss of a dearly beloved parent and subsequent grief are hard things to go through. If we can be of any use to you at all, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Loretta was a lovely woman, a great neighbor, and dear friend. We were fortunate to have her in our lives, from the time we moved to our permanent home in Hampton in the early 1960s.
The many wonderful memories of Loretta and her beautiful family will be cherished. We offer our most sincere condolences and prayers to all who were dear to her.

I share the grief of the family. I worked at Tampa International Airport for several years and Loretta came to see me there at least 3-4 times a month on her trips. Even when I moved over to the main office of SuperShuttle she would call me and say "Do you know who this is kiddo?". Of course I did, I could never forget her. She was a warm and beautiful person. We always hugged each other at TIA when she came in. I remember she was so excited when Sandy came to visit her. One time I had a Lincoln Towncar take her home and we laughed and laughed about "what the neighbors would think" - I told her they would think she struck it rich this time. I always found time to call her on her birthday, the last one her 90th, and then I lost her. I will always remember "My Loretta".
