Mark and I attended college together (we stood next to each other during graduation) and I had many government classes with him. His amazing depth of knowledge and life experiences always kept the class conversations interesting. I can hear him in class just like it was yesterday cheerfully talking about whatever topic we were discussing that day. I also saw him from time to time at City Hall where we both worked. He would often come in the office just to say hi and we would catch up on our lives. Such a good and caring person! I, along with so many others will miss Mark. My prayers are with the Heathcock family.

What a good friend Mark has been to me over the years, always asking how me and the kids were getting along and always listening to the answers. Mark will be forever missed, until we meet again my friend.

I feel very happy to have been able to see Mark this past July. We went to school together and were friends in Alaska. I remember him being the life of the party, always a smile on his face. I have nothing but fond memories. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayer to his family.

What a caring person Mark was. He would always ask us first how we were before we could even ask him. He was a giving man who would always greet us when we stepped into the sanctuary at church, even from the first pew. We know he is dancing on the first pew in Heaven. Love and prayers to the Heathcock family.

Mark will be missed, but his presence will always be felt. I still see him sitting by the piano and singing the old hymns with such feeling He knew where his hope was and shared that hope with all of us.

The first time I met Mark was in the fall of 1975 in Alaska. We went our seperate ways, as most military families do. We became life long friends. He was the best friend anyone could ask for and I will miss him dearly. My prayers go out to his family.

Dear Heathcock Family,
I was so sad yesterday to hear about Mark. I had the pleasure of meeting him 5 years ago at Riverside. He was always so pleasant to my parents and I. He will be deeply missed, but welcomed home by so many of his friends and family. Mark was a good person with a sharing and kind soul. God Bless your family during this difficult time.
