Martha FAUNTLEROY Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Martha Fauntleroy was born April 1, 1919, in Isle of Wight County, Va. On Dec. 23, 2009, she went home to be with her Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeremiah and Minnie Banks; her husband, the late Robert Fauntleroy Jr.; sisters, Jessie Reynolds, Mary and Gracie Banks, Lillian Crews and Virginia McClenney; brothers, Edward and Thomas Banks; and a son-in-law, James Watts.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Geneva Alston (David) and Delores Russell (Rufus) of Newport News and Ellen Watts and Odessa Pender of Hampton; goddaughter, Deloris Spady (Carey) of Eastern Shore; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at New Life Church, 1525 Power Plant Parkway, Hampton, Va. Interment will follow in Hampton National Cemetery, (University Section).
The family will assemble and receive friends at 141 Settlers Landing Road, Hampton, Va.
