Maxine JACKSON Obituary

HAMPTON - Maxine Genette Vaughn Jackson passed away peacefully on Friday, April 16, 2010, at Sentara Hampton Careplex.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Lemma Vaughn; and two sisters, Doretha Butler and Mary Christine Phillips.
Mrs. Jackson was a graduate of G. W. Carver High School.
She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted son, Anthony E. Jackson Sr. (Sharon); two brothers, Larry D. Vaughn Sr. (Mary) and Roger N. Vaughn (Loretta); one sister, Rovet D. Cypress; grandchildren, Anthony Jackson Jr. and Kierra Jackson; a special friend, Leroy Kee; and numerous caring family members.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 3009 Chestnut Avenue, Newport News, Va. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Jackson will be viewed Tuesday from 1 to 7 p. m. at the funeral home. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.
