Michael VERALDO Obituary
He was presently employed as a brick mason and landscaper on the Peninsula and formerly attended Menchville High School.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, Donald and Catherine Veraldo of Newport News; two brothers, Greg Veraldo and wife, Tamara, of Gloucester, and Jeff Veraldo and wife, Dawn, of Gig Harbor, Wash.; a sister, Deborah La Peccerella and husband, Vinnie, also of Newport News; two aunts, Peggy Scully of Stuart, Fla., and Betty Linderman of Monroe, N.Y.; and two nephews, Justin La Peccerella and Brayden Veraldo.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2010, at the Peninsula Memorial Park.

Please know that my thoughts prayers and TEARS are all with the 4 of you. Michael was that damn annnoying brother 2 me that I never had.. Yet he made it seem hard not to laugh no matter what was going on.. Please know that distance did not make you any less famly to me, I share in your loss

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. There are no words to describe our love for Mike. He was so full of life and such a joy to be around. He made our boys feel like one of the big guys and made them feel a bigger part of a unique circle of friends. He will truly be missed in presence but his memory will always remain in our hearts. My heart is filled with sorrow and sadness for the entire family and friends, may you find the strength in yourselves to make it through this tragedy. Mike was an intelligent and determined man, he held a heart of gold, and had the ability to put a smile on anyones face. His memory will never be forgotten.

Although our present difficulties may seem hard to understand we are assured that love can heal all wounds. One of the most important lessons that Mike taught me in my life was to love one another. His favorite artist Kurt Cobain wrote, "My heart is broke, but I have some glue." It's important to use that glue to bind us together to love and support Mike's family during thses challenging times.
