Michael McCollum Obituary

NORTH - Michael Stephen McCollum, 58, died Dec. 20, 2010 at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth.
Mike served his country in the United States Army. He received the National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Berlin), Army Commendation Medal and the Expert Qualification Badge (Rifle). Mike was fun loving, a great story teller, an accomplished guitar player and photographer. He loved to dress up in medieval armor and beat up on his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen McCollum; two sons, Craig DeBourbon and wife, Danielle, Ryan McCollum; two brothers, Richard McCollum and wife, Kerryn, Tim McCollum and wife, Moni; and granddaughter, Lillyan DeBourbon.
Funeral service, with military honors, will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Arlington National Cemetery.
