Nellie PARKER Obituary

WATER VIEW - Nellie Burch Parker, age 89, of Water View, passed away on Friday, Jan. 1, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She was the Postmaster of Water View Post Office from 1950 until she retired in 1982, and a faithful and active member of Urbanna United Methodist Church. She was the widow of George Marinor Parker Jr. She married George in 1946 and lived on their farm in Water View for most of her life. She was born in Middlesex County, where she grew up in a close and loving family of seven girls and one boy who remained close throughout their lives. She attended Pan American Business School in the late 1930's and worked in Richmond during the war years.
She is survived by her sister, Lucille Burch of Water View; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. Interment will be in Bethel Memorial Cemetery, Jamaica. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight, at the funeral home.

To Nellie's Family,
So sorry to hear of Nellie's passing.
The little over two years I keep Nellie was so wonderful. She was my baby. I missed her so much after she was put in Morningside. I have great memory's of her.My love to you all.
