Nellie ELSWICK Obituary

YORKTOWN - Nellie Mae Elswick, 92, of Yorktown died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009 at her home.
She was born to the late Moody B. and Cora Altizer in New Hall, W.Va., on May 24, 1917. She was also preceded by her beloved husband, the Rev. Paul M. Elswick. Nellie was also preceded by three brothers, and three sisters, all of Tazewell, Va.
Nellie was a member of Harman Full Gospel church in Bandy, Va.
She is survived by loving son and daughter, David Patton Bliss Elswick and his wife, Margaret of Yorktown, Va., and Mrs. Nita Harp and husband, Moody of Newport News, Va.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; four sisters, Mrs. Lucille Hayes and husband, James of Yorktown, Mrs. Lorraine Wyatt and husband, Jim of Hampton, Mrs. Betty Jessee of Tazewell, and Mrs. Janie Barnette of Whitaker Ridge, Va.
There will be a life celebration at the Hurst Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Va., with interment at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Va.
