I worked with CMSgt Ruggeri in the '70s at Langley AFB. I was the secretary in the office. He was such a pleaure to work with - a special kind of guy! I am so sorry for your loss, but you know he is taking care of you still.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I had the tremendous pleasure of working with Nick at Langley, and the 1st Fighter Wing Hospital was the envy of many other health care facilities due to the number and talent of the retired volunteers Nick recruited and managed. He was a truly remarkable man who touched and blessed many others! God comfort you with the knowledge that Nick is now with Him!

My deepest condolences and sympathies to the Ruggeri family. I knew Nick for many years when he was the coordinator of the Volunteer program at 1FW Hospital, Langley AFB. Nick was one of the nicest people you would of ever met. If you needed help with anything in the hospital, Nick was always right there with assistance. It was a pleasure working with him!! May God Bless Nick as he is in the arms of the Lord. I will never forget him!!!

My deepest sympathy to the entire Ruggeri family. I have such wonderfully fond memories of Nick as I grew up with Debby. My most treasured possession is one of the pictures he painted. I remember him as such a jolly, happy person whom I loved dearly and often called “Alvin”. I hope you take comfort in knowing that he is with God now and no longer suffering. May God Comfort and Bless You All!

Gloria, Mike, Debby and Family,

I am deeply saddened at Nick's passing. I visited Nick at the Langley hospital anytime I was in the area. Like many people I have more stories than I can share, and memories of Nick as a wonderful boss, mentor, and friend. As you already know, God truly broke the mold after he made the Chief, and I will very much miss him.

Nick was a great guy of whom I worked with from 1988 to 1992 at the USPS.
We worked in the Main Administrative Office together. He was always joking and always willing to help you if you didn't know how to do something. He helped me a lot. He will always live in your hearts and be watching you from up above.

Nick was a member of the Retired and Volunteer Program for many years. His service was so appreciated at LAFB. The community is a better place for his time at Langley coordinating the volunteers. We will certainly miss him. Please know that we have the famiy in our prayers.
