Paul Jones Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Paul Jones Sr., 79, departed this life on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009.
He was born Sept. 14, 1930, in Pleasant Hill, S.C. He retired from the Newport News Shipyard (Dept. X31) after 43 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise; mother, Viola; father, Loveit; brother, Manley; sister, Mary Alice; sons, Bobby and Arthur; and daughter, Diane.
He is survived by his two brothers, Olin and Mac; sister, Ruby; two sons, Paul Jr. and Jimmy; two daughters, Audrey Bailey and Pamela Jones; two daughters-in-law, Betty and Sylvia; one son-in-law, William; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at the Chapel of the M.E. Fisher Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Highland Cemetery, Kershaw, S.C.
