He was born and raised in Newport News, VA, but traveled the world for 32 years in service of his country. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. He was devoted to his church, Deer Park Baptist, and served as a Sunday school teacher and various other areas. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 3 at 11 a.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home with Dr. Brian Autry officiating.
