Peggy SLAUGHTER Obituary

SHACKLEFORDS - Peggy Ripley Slaughter, 75, died Wednesday Aug. 11, 2010, after a short illness.
Peggy was born in Mathews County, the daughter of the late Robert and Edna Earl Ripley. She had been associated with Barracks Supermarket as Deli Manager and also with Tatterson Greenhouses. Peggy will be remembered as a loving mother and devoted wife.
Her husband, Lewis E. Slaughter, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Robert R. Slaughter and wife, Gail of Hayes, Va.
Upon Peggy's final wishes, a private graveside service will be held.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be given to Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, P.O. Box 385, Gloucester, VA (804-693-5520).
