Ten years later, I think of Max as still being here! I know he has been telling jokes on the other side for a long time now. One thing I remember fondly is the visits he had with my mother, bringing ice cream and wine for an afternoon of conversation. There will never be another Max Bowser!

Cindy,
My condolences to you on the passing of your father. Although I never met him personally, I really enjoyed what he wrote in the newsletter; his humor reminded me of my grandfather, who passed away a few years ago, also at 95.

Max inspired me, cheered me, and always made me remember the most important things in life - working hard, loving your friends, and having fun in everything you do. I will miss you Max - you taught me a lot. Cindy - you are in my thoughts every day.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathies and condolences over your loss. I learned a lot and made lifelong friends while working for Mr. Bowser. I always got a kick out of his ideas for the December issues of the Report. ~ Scottie

I first met Max at the Riverside Wellness & Fitness Center when he was turning 90 and I was turning 50. I suggested to him that anyone who was celebrating their 90th birthday deserved to be taken to lunch - and so the friendship started together with our annual lunch date. Max was a person who did not have a negative bone in his body - a real mentor to anyone on how to live each day of your life. Max was in his 90's but he never grew old. He possessed the gift of "quick whit" and always held his own in any joking volley. I'll miss my friend.
