GLOUCESTER - R. Phillip Lowney, 78, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at his home. He was born in Gloucester, Va. and was a retired logger. He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Jane Lowney and is survived by his sons, Jerry Michael Lowney and David Phillip Lowney (Cheryl), adopted daughter Theresa Elliott, grandson Jamie Lowney, and great grandchildren, Shawell and Jayden. The family will receive friends on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 from 1-2:00 p.m. in the mausoleum at Windsor Gardens Cemetery with funeral services starting at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Gospel Lighthouse Worship Center, Shackelfords, Va. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, Va. is in charge of arrangements
