Family I think of Randy a lot especially now that I am retired. He was such a good man who loved his family. He is missed every day. One if the jokes him and I would talk about was taking our wife's to Salam MA for Halloween which he loved.

Neoma,my dear friend and sister, I am so very sorry and saddened for you and your family. When I met Randy, he was already fighting his battle with cancer. His positive attitude, strength, determination, and courage was truly inspirational. Randy demonstrated his joy for life and his love for his family and friends every day. Even when you knew he was feeling bad, he never complained and always had time to listen, offer kind words or a smile when you were feeling down or having a bad day. He was a rare and special person and will truly be missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Godspeed Officer Friendly and watch over us that are left behind. Your memories will live on in our hearts always. Love and peace.

Randy you left us too early, so much more to do. We were supposed to make a trip to Salem MA and see the light house of the Great State of MI. You were a great friend to Pat and I and the long talks we had while watching the traffic go out of the base will be missed. Our friendship has not ended with you moving on. I will cherish our friendship till I join you in our father’s heaven. Rest assured that I will do all I can to keep your memory alive, by being a kind friend a loyal officer and most of all a good person. Pat and I will never forget you or your family and will be there if they need us also. God Bless you bud, I do hope that you have the new patrol cars in heaven and the gates are shorter than at Naval Station Norfolk. Miss you partner Darrell and Pat Cole

Little Brother, You were a bright smile any time you came into headquarters, never an ugly word or remark. When I think about how many times you came into my office and I was made. You would just chuckle with that side grin of yours and you would open my frig and say Robin I think that you need another Pepsi. No matter what treatment you were going through you would always try and get right back out on patrol. Little brother you have my word that me and Danny will be here for your girls, Neoma, Grandma, Noel, Deniece and the grand babies. My Maw-Maw always said GOD takes the best first and he really does. Little Brother I love you and will miss you forever and YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. Just don't think I can't still whack you for NEOMA cause I have a bunch of hillbilly relatives up there with you.

My earliest memory of Randy is when his family moved in next door on Fox Hill Road. For some reason we laid underneath the moving truck together thinking that nobody could see us. We quickly became friends. Going to school (Phillips Elementary), together, playing at each others house, hanging out at the 7-11 across the street and visiting our girlfriends together. We shared many experiences and many laughs together. But somehow time separated us with college, jobs, marriage, kids and we lost touch with another.
Randy was always a very kind and caring person. Knowing that he served in law enforcement to protect others comes as no surprise. He was to be the policeman and I was to be the Fire Fighter.
I believe that Randy is in a better place and has a new body and for that I am grateful. But I am sad. I am sad that my friend's life ended so early and leaving behind his family that will miss him so much. I'm also sad that we didn't keep in touch over the years.

Neona- my prayers are with you and your family during this season of mourning.

Neona, Noelle, Granny, Sarah, Ernie, Junior and Deniece - please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Randy.
God saw that Randy was getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around Randy and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes the family watched you Randy, and saw you pass away. Although we all loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

With Love,
Cathy, Kevin and Brooklyn Bower
