DELTAVILLE - Raymond Ezra Toms Jr. , 85, of Deltaville, Va., passed away on Dec. 11, 2009, at his home in Deltaville, Va., following an auto accident on Dec. 7.
Mr. Toms, son of Raymond E. Toms and Paulina Judy Toms, is survived by his wife, Pat; five children, Sara, Anna, Kenney, Lewis, and Michael, 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Raymond served in the Marine Corps during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Virginia Tech. He was an avid sailor and long-time member of Fishing Bay Yacht Club.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home in Saluda, Va.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Friends of the Deltaville Library, 35 Lover's Lane, Deltaville VA 23043 of which Raymond was treasurer for 15 years. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.
