WILLIAMSBURG - Richard E. Lane, 87, of Williamsburg, passed away on December 21, 2013. He was born in Richmond, VA and preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Keren Lane and his brother Edward Lane. Richard was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WW II and a retired engineer with the U.S. Army Aviation Applied Technology Directorate at Fort Eustis, VA. He graduated from Virginia Tech and was a member of Phi Delta Theta. As an avid boater, he cruised the Bahamas' numerous times. He is survived by his son, R. Davis Tosti-Lane (Linda); 2 nephews, Edward Lane (Mary), and Greg Lane (Kristi); devoted longtime partner, Carol Mackenzie; and his sister-in-law, Jeanne Lane. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26 from 6-8PM, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23188. A graveside Service will take place on Saturday, December 28 at 11AM, at Hollywood Cemetery, 412 S. Cherry St., Richmond, VA 23220. Memorial contributions may be made to the
