Richard RUCKER Obituary

YORKTOWN - Richard Lee Rucker, 73, passed away on Friday, Oct. 22, 2010.
Richard was a native of Amherst County, Va., and was a Peninsula resident for 48 years. He was employed as a diesel mechanic with Northrop Grumman until his retirement in 2004.
Richard is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy; his son, Richard Rucker and his wife, Shari of Newport News, Va.; daughters, Anita Creech and her husband, Timothy, and Karen Korlach and her husband, Patrick, all of Williamsburg; two sisters, Hollis Yeatts and her husband, Jimmy of Bedford, Va., and Estelle Layne and her husband, Butch of Madison Heights, Va. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Timothy Jr., Lindsey, Jonathan and Lauren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, in the chapel of Amory Funeral Home, Grafton. The family will receive friends following the service.
