Robert Earl Fisher Obituary
SMITHFIELD - Robert Earl Fisher, 82, passed away at home on Friday, October 4, 2013. He was a native of Springfield, Illinois and a resident of Smithfield for 6 years. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He later became a construction representative for the Army Corp of Engineers and retired in 1997 after 40 years of service. He was a member of Central Church of Christ. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Claudia Fisher and one brother and sister. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ada Ensley Fisher; sons, Robert A. Fisher and Kenneth R. Fisher; daughters, Dorothy A. Ingram and Linda D. Morris; grandchildren; Sherri Lynn Barter, Crystal Baird, Matthew Morris, Alana N. Fisher, Kathleen S. Fisher, and Christopher R. Fisher; great-grandchildren; Austin Morris, Austin Barter, Shalie Barter, Anistyn Guenther, and Kelsie Morris; and step-grandchildren, William T. Redfearn, Steven M. Redfearn, and Brandy M. Cleveland. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, October 8, at the funeral home, officiated by Minister Marc Shafford. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Fox Hill Road Baptist Church Building Fund or to the .
