Robert was my cousin, my best friend, my high school best friend, my room mate in Wilmington in the 1960's. I knew his mother and daddy and Roger Lee very well back then.I moved away to Columbia, SC and He to Williamsburg, but we always talked on the phone and then later email. My heart is broken as I just found out. A very important part of my life is gone away. Have peace Robert. I love you. Billy Skipper. God be with you.

It is hard to believe that you are no longer a part of my life. Being able to work with you and having you as a friend for over 20 years was a privilege and a gift. I will miss you more then words can say and I will always remember your dry sense of humor and your amazing ability to see the good in everyone. You will always be in my heart.

Goodbye to my beloved nephew. Who can I now argue Callas, Pavorotti, etc...with. His dry sense of humor and his matter of fact way of facing his problems won't be forgotten.

My sincere condolences. My heart is saddened by this news. I have many wonderful memories of Robert and his family. Gordon and Trudy (Robert's parents) were like parents to me and grandparents to my two sons. I have kept in touch with Robert through email, but this news caught me by surprise. He will be missed.
