Ronald ROWE Obituary

VERNON HILL - Ronald Wayne Rowe, 66, of Hamilton Tract Lane, Vernon Hill, Va., died Saturday, May 1, 2010.
He was born on Sept. 7, 1943, in Newport News, Va., a son of the late Charles Birch Rowe and Dorothy Hope Jones Rowe.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Marie Hendricks Rowe.
Prior to moving to Vernon Hill, in 2000, he was employed with Dominion Power Company, Hampton, Va., until his retirement.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Thurman Jordan White.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Veronica M. Hopkinson and her husband, James of Vernon Hill; two stepdaughters; three stepsons; a sister, Robin A. Hall of Hampton; two grandchildren, Victoria M. Yelverton and Nicholas L. Yelverton; and a niece, R. Michelle Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2010, at Townes Funeral Home. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Chatham, Va. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, prior to the funeral service.
