Rose CARTER Obituary
Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Carter and her son, Leonard Carter.
She leaves to cherish in memory her daughter, Diane Carter; grandchildren, Tracey Arzu, China Carter; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Azia, Romello, and Jordyn; great-great -granddaughter, Autumn LaNae; an uncle, Harry Barnes; two aunts, Mildred Barnes and Tina Barnes; a niece, a host of nephews, cousins, and other loving family members and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Cooke Bros. Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at New Beech Grove Baptist Church, 326 Tabbs Lane, Newport News, VA, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

I was sad about the loss of Mrs. Carter whom I have known since I was around the age of four years old -- such a long time. Her sweet voice I can still hear and all the memories of 158th Street will never be forgotten...Rest in Peace and Condolences to the Family...Genesis (Margaret) Harper
