Hey Mom!
What about your Mum. It it huge, and so pretty. I decided not to put back out your fall flowers. Didn't want to crowd your mum. Everything that I have planted by you has done exceptionally well. We survived the nor-easter; got lucky. The rye grass seems to be coming up slowly. Perhaps it's waiting on much cooler weather?
I have attached a picture of your mum. Hope dad and you are having a pleasant fall so far. Will change out flags for Halloween next week. Spooky!
Miss you every day. All my love.

Mom,
This is my 3rd attempt. Not sure what's going wrong. Trying to send you a picture of the fall flowers and flag. And what about your mum! You sure have a green thumb. Won't be long before it's in full bloom. With all my love.

Hi Mom,
Hope you are staying cool. We are having a long stretch of hot and humid weather. Wishing for a strong cool front to help give us some relief. Finally got your plaque all fixed and ready for the rest of the summer.
Boy, your mum sure has taken off. Already has buds and will soon blossom. Enjoy your day, and perhaps dad and you can take a stroll along the beach.
With Love. Miss you every day. Your daughter, Linda

Happy Mothers Day!
Hope you had a wonderful day. Perhaps dad took you to one of favorite places? You couldn't ask for a more perfect day outside. It would be really something if you could get dad to go on a "trail ride". Ha, ha-right.
I enjoyed our time together earlier today and hope you like the fresh cut roses from our rose bush. However, nothing beats your "blueboy" rose bush. Smells so good!
With all my love. Miss you
Your daughter,

Hi Mom it's your son Jon. I just finished giving your rose bush some tums. It's has a few yellow leaves. That is usually a Calcium deficiency and it also works great on tomato plants if you didn't know. Vickie reminded me it's been 15 years since we lost you to God. We all Love you and miss you very much. Tell dad we miss him too.
Love, Jon.

Hi Mom,
It's a sad day today,15 years ago. It was the day we lost you being here us. I know that I come to visit, but just not the same. Not being able to physically see your smile and hear your laughter. Wayne really misses your funny jokes. He says that you had the best sense of humor. I guess that the lord thought that it was time for you to "relive your youth"; with not only God,but also with lost family and friends. It's was just too soon for me. However, it was very hard seeing you the way things had become (you not being able to enjoy life to it's fullest). I hope that it helped today, me being with you today at the "time" in which the Lord raised you up into the heavens. You were not alone.
Love you,and miss you every minute.

Happy Easter Mom!
Your flowers and grounds looks great. Grass coming up nicely and all the spring flowers have bloomed and gone. Your mum is coming up great, so hopefully will start to bloom in the next couple of months. It sure has gotten warm quickly. My body hasn't gotten use to it yet. I can't seem to deal with the heat.
Hope dad, you, and all your friends and family get together and have a great feast on this very special day.
Miss you every day. Your smile and laughter. Wishing that you could have had more time with us.

Hope you enjoyed our visit (2 days in a row). Wow! We did the best we could with your plaque missing as it's being repaired. I think it looks good. Sorry that I could not get red roses but I can at least take this plant home and put in the ground.
I hope that you had a very special day planned today with dad, family and friends. And of course your furry friends also.
Planning on coming back on Tuesday to put some mulch down before the rain moves in.
Take care of yourself and will visit again soon.

Mom,
Today you left to be with your savior Jesus Christ. It is hard for us to realize that fourteen years have gone by. We hope you are able to help our Lord with his work in trying to guide everyone on the right path. Our world is in so much turmoil right now. So anything you can do to help him is greatly appreciated.
We all miss you so much, your laughter, joke's. We hope that you are able to take dad on some rides now that you have both Kasey and Rowdi with you. (helping dad 'how to ride'). Would love to see that!
Take care of yourself until we are all able to get together again.
All our love,

Hi Mom,
Hope you and dad are relaxing and looking forward to the summer months ahead.
Sorry that I have not written you lately, but we do get to spend some time together when I am at the gravesite. I hope that you liked the new Easter flowers that Venus got for you. I have some mulch that I want to put down but have been waiting for some work to be done in regards to your plaque. It has been fading for a long time and the color is chipping off. I tried calling back during the pandemic but things were a bit unstable back then and I am just trying to get things done for the past couple of months. The people at the cemetery are going to refinish your plaque, so therefore I'm going to have to remove your flowers until the work is complete. Once done, it will look nice again. The grass looks luscious and green so far this spring. I hope it stays healthy during the hot summer days.
Please take care of yourself and have some quality time with dad and all your family and friends. That includes the 'furry' ones to.
Love always, miss you both so much.

Sorry, as it has been a while due to having trouble with connection. Hope you have been having a great summer as fall is finally approaching. It has been an extremely dry summer here. I hope we get some good steady rain soon.
I guess you have a busy day planned with dad today as he would have been celebrating his birthday; I know you will make it very special for him.

Hi Mom,

Today has been very hard for me. I find it hard, or to comprehend that you have been away for ten years as of today. I do not say lost you, because I know that you are still with us everyday. I hope you enjoyed our time together today. I also hope that you like your new summer flowers. Your blue boy rose bush has one bud getting ready to blossom. If the weather would stop changing so drastically each day, I truly believe it would have blossomed out today.

Dad is having a bit of rough time right now. The cancer seems to be taking control. It seems that life can be so crewel at times. At the same time, the world seems to be in a crisis. We have a health pandemic going on right now. Coronavirus/covid-19 as they call it. It has been so deadly. Everyone is being ask to stay at home to help stop the spread, business are closed, millions of people have lost their jobs. I never would have ever thought that something like this would have happened in my lifetime.

Our country was growing so well, companies were coming back to the U.S. I truly think that we were going to start making things again, and stop being so dependent on other countries. I pray every night that we will wake up and it will just go away. Scientists really do not much about this new virus and they are saying it could take up to eighteen months before we could get a vaccine due to they say it may come back again this fall. Who knows.

Will its late. I miss you so much, you always had a way of putting a smile on peoples faces.

With all my love, your daughter Linda

ps: you have always been a rose within our hearts

Hi Mom,

How about this crazy weather we are having!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday, and a warm welcome to the new century. Hard to believe that is already year 2020. The old saying (how time flies); before you know it, it will be the end of this year.

Well can't be on here long today; as the day is flying by and I seem to be a bit lazy and must get busy. Have to clean stall.

I miss you so much every day. Will see you end of week to get your site ready for Valentines Day.

With all my love, Linda

September 29, 2019

Hi mom,

What about that beautiful mum! It seems that everything I plant by your side seems to take root and grow so nice and healthy. You always had that special touch. Jon takes care of your blue boy rose bush at the house. It just bloomed it's last two roses for the summer; and boy they smelled so good!

It sure has been a very hot & extremely dry summer, winter cannot get here soon enough. The leaves are already changing color and falling quickly, I think due to the such dry weather we have had. I really feel for the farmers around here, as their crops are dying.

Wayne and I just got back from the mountains, and I will be going to Florida this weekend with family.

Miss you always, theirs not a day that goes by that I don't think about you. I have a picture of you at the hair dresser wearing your favorite bingo' shirt; what a great smile.

I have several pictures I would like to put on your web page, but would need Vickie to load at her house, as I do not have internet here at the house.

Will, must go for now. Will see you again next week.

It's turning out to be a bit cloudy & colder than I expected. I must get stalls cleaned first before I venture out today. I'm going to turn your Christmas Tree off and turn back on the weekend of Christmas so your lights will be nice & bright during the holiday weekend.

Sorry if no roses today, but I know you understand; you always did. You were just glad for your children to be around you. Always a wonderful smile, and as Wayne loved about you was you always liked a good joke!

Must get busy. Miss you so much.

With all my Love, Linda

Hope you have a great Birthday today! The lord will make sure your special day is truly blessed.

I want to also wish you a Happy Birthday tormorrow! I think the weather is going to be nice, but a bit cool. I will be by to see you sometime during the day, however I'm not sure if the flower shop will have your favorite roses and Vickie has to work. I know you understand and know that we both love and miss you dearly.

Happy Birthday!

I hope you like how I fixed up your special place for the Christmas Holidays. I will need to come by late evening soon to make sure all lights are burning properly.

Unfortunately, I will be unable to come by to visit with you on your special day, today. The weather is a bit messy, and they are calling possibly for some wintery mix this evening and tomorrow.

You are always in my thoughts and prayers. I love and miss your smile every day. Wayne really misses your great sense of humor too.

I have had a time in finding your web page. Sorry that I have not written to for a year, but I still come to see you every week. I hope you enjoyed Christmas! I cannot beleive that your Christmas tree lights are still working. I try to decorate as nice as possible. Can you beleive your yellow mum, it grows/blossoms so beautiful every year! All has Been good; Kasey is getting grayer every year. She will be 31 years old this May. Dad's cancer is getting worse, mess are not working. He is trying a new drug, I hope it works. He is really active (walks several miles most days); however the cold weather makes it really hard at times, but still looks good.

Will getting late, will see you this weekend.

To Our Mother, who is missed so much. Today is a very sad day for all who new my mother (a true Rose) deep within our hearts.

Mom,

Even though today is a very sad day for me, I know that you are in peace. Not suffering anymore, but having a wonderful life now, happy being with your parents, brother Charles & Evelyn, aunt Peggy, and long lost friends from the past. However, I wished that you could still be with your childern as we miss so much seeing you (I can't say not being with you, because you are with us each and every moment).

I hope you like what Vickie and I did at your gravesite; the Easter flowers and flag, putting down mulch so the landscape people will not have to weedeat too close to you, planting of new grass so it will be nice and green pasture, so when we come out to see you we can lay down beside you - to not only comfort you, but to comfort us as well.

Vickie & I will bring you your favorite today! Some beautiful "Red Roses" with white babies breath. We know that this will put a big SMILE on your face and will make you very happy and humble.

Well must go, I'm at work and it's been very busy. Both Vickie and I will be coming by to see you today. Vickie will be there this morning and I will be there this evening. Oh, how we miss your laughter, but with all the great memories and pictures we have, it helps bring not only tears, but GREAT JOY to us.

With all my Love, My "Rose";
Your daughter Linda - I will be with you one day again to see that wonderful smile and hear that great laughter. Oh, and Wayne can't wait to be able to crack some good jokes with you again, he truly misses that!

PS: I see that Vickie put your Valentines picture on your page. I have lots of pictures and hope to be able to spend more time with Vickie so she can help me post some on your page as well.

Again, it's a very sad day - but also a good day to know that you are in peace and not suffering anymore.

Hi Mom,

Sorry that I have not written to you for so long. Life has been so fast paste and it is just flying by before us. The economy has been terrible; so many people out of work.

I hope you like your new flag and flowers! I know that you know, but every week when I come to visit you I try to keep your site and stone as clean as possbile. The landscaping people are so rough, they keep breaking your lights and your windmill. I have been looking for another one to replace it, but just have not found one that I really like. I know that you love those types of things. Oh, what about your "garden stone"! What do you think about it. I hope you like it, I thought that it was perfect (fits you to a tee)! At least that has survived by the landscapers.

Dads cancer level has gone back up again, so he will need to restart his treatments again starting next week. I hope and pray that they work as well as the last time.

It's been so hot this summer. I feel so sorry for Kasey and Rowdi, they have been just drenched everday, so Wayne has been spraying them off with the water hose and we have been keeping them out all night since the stalls seem to be hotter than oustide. They have been getting into the lien-to in the back of the pasture and it has a fan to help them keep somewhat cool. We have had breaking record temperatures all over the United States and out West, they are having a terrible drought as well.

Well, I must go for now. I promise to not take so long the next time in writing ou. I will see you in the next couple of days. Take care, and I think of you every moment. Miss you dearly.

With all my love, your daughter Linda.

Hey Mom,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Another year has just flew by "so fast", like you always told me "don't wish your life away". You were so right! All of us with the exception of Jon are in our 50's.

I hope you like how Vickie and I have decorated your place for Christmas. Vickie just bought a snowman that lights up by using solar energy!

The weather today feels more like Christmas time. Vickie and I will be out to visit you today and bring you your favorite "RED ROSES" for your special day!

Dad has been here since Thanksgiving, he really misses you - I think more than all of us expected. We all miss you very much. Your great smiles, and Wayne really misses your great sinse of humor! He said that you were always the life of the party!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday with your parents, brother, aunt Peggy and friends.

Sharon, the hair dresser suddenly past away in November. She had breast cancer and it had gone into her liver. She started not feeling well and her stomach got really swollen all of a sudden. She went to the doctor and he gave her a couple of months to live, and within one week - she was gone. I hope you were able to greet her, as I know that you will make her feel at home and cheer her up as she had to leave her son who is just ten years old.

Well, I must go for now. Work has been very busy (not complaining, due to the economy). Our company has been very fortunate. Vickie's business has been doing good as well.

Miss you, and with all my love.

Yesterday, April 25th was a sad day for us, the day that we lost you. But yet a happy day to; remembering the wonderful times that we had, all the great things you did for all of us children. You would do anything for us to make sure that we were happy and cared for.

I hope you like what Vickie and I have done for you at your grave site. We try very hard to make sure everything looks great and that the grass looks good to. I hope that your Roses last for at least a couple of days due to the hot weather we are having.

I miss you so much, your laugh, smiles, and jokes. You always had a way to make us smile when we were down and out.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter Holiday! I know that God is taking care of you, enjoying life in heaven.

Love, and miss you so much. Every day that goes by is just not the same since you have been gone.

Love always,
Linda

HAPPY 75TH BIRTHDAY!

I know that you are going to have a wonderful day because God surely is going to have something very special planned for you! With your great smiles, jokes and many laughs.

Oh, the picture here is from the Relay for Life event that took place "2008" at Todd's Stadium - Wayne, paster Bernie Taylor and ME! We are thinking of you on this special day. I need to be able to load some pictures to post to your website, my computer is too slow at home since we only have dail-up (ancient times).

Love you always, and remember we will be together again.

Mom,

Sorry that I have not written you lately, things have been very busy. I hope that you are doing well and are having a great time being with your parents, brother and Aunt Peggy! I really miss you.

Oh, I hope you liked your fall flowers and now with the Christmas Holidays coming up Vickie and I really dressed up your place. I hope you like it, I know how much you love the holidays and especially Christmas - you were always so giving even when sometimes you had nothing for yourself. You gave great love and smiles to many of your family and friends. I bet if they had a drawing for the best dressed up site, you would surely win!

Everyone is fine, just a little run down; Dad and Vickie both have colds right now.

Well I must go, but I promise not to wait so long before contacting you again.

Oh, one more thing - oh I know, you don't want to be reminded but you have a BIRTHDAY coming up - next Wednesday! I got you a card and will bring it to you, but I may have to come a day earlier due to a meeting I must attend and it will be dark when I get out. I know that you would understand.

Miss you dearly, with all my love.

Your daughter Linda

PS: I just love the saying you always said - Cold hands, warm heart - stinky feet, no sweetheart!
I cannot remember the other one, something like: A bushel a peck???

Love you!

Mom,
It seems that this year has not been very good to everyone, the bad economy, loosing you and now with the loss of aunt Peggy on Saturday August 14, 2010. It's hard to deal with right now, I find myself having dreams. I had one just the other night and Wayne said that I was calling out for you. I miss you so much and wish that you were still here. One thing, I know that you are no longer in pain and you are able to be with your parents and brother Charles, both grandparents and other friends and family members and now and with Peggy. With your great since of humor, you probably have them all laughing so hard until the water runs from their eyes. You always could make everyone laugh, you most definently kept the family close together. Wanye said that you had the best personality, he just loved talking to you because he knew that you could take a good joke.
We plan to change your flowers again after September 15th. I am planning on getting some beautiful fall flowers since it's just around the corner. I would also like to try and find an Elvis flag to hang above you for a while.
Oh how I miss you so, I think quite often that I wished that I had a lot of medical knowledge so I could have given you better help. Vickie and I tried to keep up with everything possible and Dr. Haggerty knew that you where one not to ever give up, that you loved life so much and to be with family was the most important thing in your life, you were always so giving to everyone; even to people you hardly knew. I was talking to your sister Edith and also to Irene and that both said that your memory was so good, and that you never missed anyone's birthday and always was so giving a Christmas.

I cleaned off your stone just yesterday and will bring some water with me next week to help clean a little better. I plan on getting some rye grass to put down for the fall and also Wayne said that he would mix up some weed killer for me so I can make a more clear area around your stone.

Well I must go for now due to it's getting very late and I have to go to work.

PS: Sorry that I have not written you lately but I think you & I know that you much prefer to see me everyweek, to sit by your side and talk.

Love and miss you very much, and remember we will be next to one another when my time comes.

Today we lost Aunt Peggy. Aug. 14 2010 she was a fighter like you but it was time to go to god and to you, grandma, granddad and her parents and and other family members and friends. Please show her the way and enjoy having each others company.
I love you with all my heart and miss you and think of you every day.

Marie was a good friend to me through the years. We shared an interest in horses; we enjoyed eating out together; we both liked anything Elvis; Marie never forgot my birthday; and her gifts were always special. I truly miss her.

My Mom (Rose Marie Barbour) came into the world on the 8th of December, 1935, destin to born four children: Venus, Vickie, Linda and Jon. Through her very cut short years she answered to the name "Rose Bud" from her close net family. Intern this name given to her would hold true through the years to come, for she was truly a ROSE to me. She was a mother who put each of her children first before anything else. If I had any issue at all or had a bad day she would always be there for me. She just wanted me to be happy in life.

Then came the day I was to marry, the look on her face said it all. She was so happy for me, but at the same time also a little sad; because she knew that we would not have as much time together as in the past. She even wore a dress, necklace and earrings that match what I was wearing.

When her health started to decline and she was unable to walk, she went into the JRCC. This was the hardest thing for us children to do, but with all of the family being so close to her we made a point that everyday she would see her children, to be able to give her the best quality of life possible.

Each day that I would visit with her, as soon as I came around the corner she would be sitting up in her wheelchair facing down the hallway just waiting to see me. Once she saw me she would say "my daughter, my daughter, and I would say "HEY MOM" and she would reply; I'm so happy to see you! Sometimes I guess the day seem to go by slow she would say, I thought maybe you were not coming, I'm so happy to see you. I would see her eyes sparkle and a lovely smile as BIG as her HEART.

My mom was a 'People Person", she loved being around people and family. She was always ready for a good laugh and fun. If you were one to meet her you would agree. You see, that was my Mom.

Before my Mom took her last breath of life, she made sure that all of her children were in her nest of love. You see, "Rose Bud" was truly a ROSE!

Now GOD will have a "ROSE" in HIS GARDEN.

I will miss you MOM and will never forget the love you gave to me.

Your loving daughter, Linda

Mom, I miss you so much, your smile, your voice. I know that you always like to have a night light on, and so do I. So I have placed this candle here that will always stay lit, to help us both find our way; when we meet again.

Mom,
I miss you and I think of you every day.I will want to call you or visit you but I know I will not be able to do that anymore. I love you and feel so sad everyday that you are not here to talk to me ,shop with me or just go for a ride. God please take care of her she is a person with so much to give and so full of life and p.s. she likes to kid around. Her special sayings were "lets blow this pop cycle or hay babe or shop till you drop. Mom I love you always
Until we meet again I will keep a light on just like you wanted
love always your daughter
