Rose Dieck Obituary

HAMPTON - On April 17, 2009, Rose Mary Dieck, 86, the beloved wife, mother and grandmother, quietly passed from this life to life everlasting.
Rose was born on Long Island, N.Y., on Aug. 20, 1922. After traveling to all points with her Air Force husband, she came to Hampton in 1962. She was an avid physical fitness fan and gourmet cook. She was well known around the Peninsula as a volunteer with the Langley Chapel. Rose was a very kind, considerate and compassionate person and well liked by everyone that knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ted; daughter, Linda Siegel and husband, Joe of Fox Island, Wash.; son, James and his wife, Dinah of Germantown, Tenn., and their daughter and son, Nicole and Ryan; her brother, William Eisner and wife, Judy of Short Hills, N.J.
Friends are encouraged to visit www.mem.com to share words of comfort with the family.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Rose's Life will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at the funeral home. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, at Arlington National Cemetery.
