Rosemary Wallace Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Rosemary Wallace answered the Master's call and went to be with her Creator on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. Her life began on Aug. 22, 1951, the daughter of the late James E. and Helen Wyatt Wallace of Williamsburg, Va.
She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. She was a joy and an inspiration to her family and friends and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her blessed memories her sisters, Louise Rountree (Moses), Odessa Rubin (Felton), Dena Wallace and Bernice Brown (Willie); her brothers, James Wallace (Dorothy), Lawrence Wallace (Christine), Arthur Wallace, John Wallace (Sanetta) and Billy Wallace; her aunts, Martha Greenhow (Theodore) and Ruth Miles; her uncle, George Wallace; her many loving nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of caring friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at New Zion Baptist Church, 3991 Longhill Road, with Dr. Robert A. Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 4549 Centerville Road by noon on Wednesday. Ms. Wallace may be viewed from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
