Roy SCULL Obituary

HAMPTON - On July 23, 2010, at the age of 75, Roy Harwood Scull of Hampton died after a long illness.
Roy was a graduate of Hampton High School, served in the U.S. Army, and attended the Apprentice School. He worked for many years at BASF and Mann Industries in Williamsburg.
Roy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary; his brother, Thomas Scull and wife, Martha of Newport News; his daughters, Barbara Chaffin of Newport News and Donna Cooper of Hampton; his sons, James Scull and wife, Ginger of Hampton, and Michael Scull and wife, Christie of Hampton.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
It was Roy's wish that his body be donated for anatomical research and there be no memorial service. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 26, from 7 to 8 p.m. at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, Armistead Avenue in Hampton.
The family would like to thank Roy's hospice nurses Cindy and Sonya for their caring support, and ask that any memorials be made in the form of a donation to the Peninsula SPCA. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.
