Ruth CROSBY Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Ruth Crosby, 83, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2010.
She retired from Riverside Regional Medical Center, as an Admission Clerk, after 17 years of service. Ruth loved spending time with her family and valued the simple things in life.
Survivors include her son, Philip Crosby and his wife, Sharon; one daughter, Elise Crosby and her husband, Jim Wentink; two grandchildren, Samantha and Ross; and many loved great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Peninsula Memorial Park.

I had the pleasure of working with Ruth at Riverside for many years. She was a wonderful woman and was a joy to be around and I will miss her. My condolences to the family. You will be in my prayers.

My Deepest Sympathy to Ruth's family. I had the pleasure of working with Ruth at Riverside ER several weekends a month. She was a very sweet and kind person always to the families of our patients. I will keep you in my prayers during the coming weeks.
