I drive past Ruth's house and wish I could stop in and talk with her about politics, history, art, feminism, and so many other topics. Ruth was my neighbor and friend for over 33 years, and I have many good memories from the times we spent together. She was kind, generous, and VERY proud of her family. Amelia, L.M., her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her sister Anne all gave her such joy! Please know you are all in my thoughts. I can only imagine how very much you miss her.
Go Pittsburg Steelers.

Much love to Amy and Larry - my thoughts and prayers are with you. It's hard to lose your Mom at Christmas-time - it's been two years since Dad died on Dec. 17th. We have to be glad for their long life. Aunt Ruth was such a strong lady, but like Dad she fought until she couldn't fight it any more. I will always remember her fondly. All my love and prayers are with you and yours.

I had the pleasure of living across the street from Ruth for 3 years. She was a great neighbor and she was very thoughtful. I remember my first power outage experience on the road. She brought me over flashlights. She was really a cool lady! God lift her soul and blessings to her family. Donna Scott-old neighbor

I am so sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. I enjoyed working with her on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. She was a very active board member and her contributions in the development of parks and recreation services in York County continue to enhance the quality of life here and will do so for years to come. My sympathies are extended to her family during this difficult time.
