Ruthanne CROCKER Obituary

COBBS CREEK - Ruthanne M. Crocker, 82, of Cobbs Creek, Va., went to join her parents in Gods Kingdom on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at her home.
Ruthanne, born Sept. 20, 1928, in Washington, D.C., was a faithful servant of the Lord at Mathews Chapel, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ruthanne took greatest pleasure when surrounded by her family, friends, and church family. She loved art, travel, and reading. She retired from federal service and retired from the Prince Georges County, MD Board of Education. Ruthanne was active in choir and her prayer group activities. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her love and her devotion are eternal.
Ruthanne is survived by her husband of 62 years, Herman Crocker; her daughter, Carol Uffelman; her son, Kevin Crocker; sister, Joan Allen and their families, which includes five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, in Mathews Chapel United Methodist Church, Cobbs Creek, Va.
Memorial donations may be made in Ruthanne's memory to the Mathews Chapel Building Fund, P.O. Box 125, Cobbs Creek, VA 23035.
