Samuel AARON Obituary
Samuel served in the Marines and also worked for many years in the Newport News Shipyard.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles lee Aaron Jr.; and father, the Rev. Charles Lee Aaron Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Edith Aaron; his three sons, Samuel Jr., Jeremi and Isaac; and three daughters, Kim, Nikki and Avianna; two brothers, Jonathan Aaron (Stephanie) and the Rev. Leon Aaron (Myrella); three sister, Roxanne Aaron, Chiquita Aaron and Charlene Aaron King(Andre); five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at Nickelson Cummings Funeral Home from 1 to 6 p.m. A celebration of Sam's life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at First Church of God, 1261 20th Street, Newport News, Va., with the Rev. Leon Aaron officiating.

His youngest daughter and my grandson and granddaughter go to the same school. Each morning he would pleasantly speak and we would conversate about our kids. He was a very nice man who i am sure will be sadly missed. I will miss seeing him riding his bicylce. May God through Jesus Christ, give his family the comfort and peace of heart to combat this loss.

I met Sam 1996 when I first came to Hampton Roads, I was going through some rocky times, however when I spoke with him, he always made me laugh, I am still in the area .but haven't seen him in five years, when I read the obituaries today, I was appalled.., a friend of mine is now gone.., Sam you were true to me and I thank you, you made me laugh when I wanted to cry, you brought sunshine into my life when there were clouds..Love you Sam , A real soldier.

I didn't know Sam personally, but I did know his bright smile and cheerful spirit lit up the community. I would always see him taking care of his yard or on his bike. He will be missed, our community has truly lost a light.

Our prayers and condolences go out to the Aaron family. I was a close friend of Sam's throughout our early childhood years and high school. There are so many memories when I think about him. And if there is one thing I remember is Sam who we sometimes would call "Lemon" always smiled and could make you laugh to forget your troubles. He will be sadly missed but not forgotten.

I'm going to truly miss my uncle sammy. He taught me a lot thru life and with him not being here feels like I lost a 2nd father. I'm going to miss the sugar pancakes, the chat sessions about life, or just hearing before I leave, "I Love You". But you always said to me and your sons that this day will come to just keep our head up, stay strong and make sure Avi is fine, and of course I will because when I needed you no matter what you were there since I was 9 til now I can't count one time when you wasn't there.
