To The Family of Ms. Sarah: I will always remember Ms. Sarah as a happy and content person. Her smile said it all. She knew what it felt like to be blessed by God everyday. I will miss her smile and our short conversations but she will always be remembered.

May God bless you all in this time of sorrow.

Mrs. Lockley was a wonderfully warm person. I have been gone from VIMS for a few years now, but I will always remember Mrs. Lockley and how kind and optimistic she was. A true model of goodness to emulate. My deepest condolences to the Lockley family.

I was so sorry to hear of Sarah's passing. Her positive attitude was always an inspiration to me. After she left VIMS, she called me from time to time to chat, and always made me laugh. She was a wonderful person, and was so proud of her family.

One thing I remember about my grandmother that really sticks out is that she never forgot our birthdays. We (her grandchildren in Kansas) have always lived far away from her and didn't see her as much as the grandchildren in Virginia. However, growing up we could always expect to receive a card in the mail with at least $20 in the card. When we did see her in Virginia she would ALWAYS prepare this big feast that consisted of: turkey, the best baked mac and cheese, yams, stuffing, and etc. Grandma Sarah was little on words growing up and we knew better not to talk to her during her “TV Shows”…lol. However, when we got older she became very talkative. I remember the first time I called Grandma and she kept talking and talking. After I got off the phone with her I called my older sister and said, “Sarah, I just talked to Grandma Sarah and she just kept talking and talking” and we both were so surprise. One thing I will always say is if I ever needed her SHE WAS THERE!

I LOVE YOU GRANDMA!

I Thank Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for placing Sarah and her Family, in my life. Her love for the Lord was always shinning on her face. All the members (also past members) will always keep her in our hearts. Sarah made a lasting impression on my life. She is now at HOME with her LOVE, Richard. I know that I will see her soon, when the GOOD LORD calls me HOME. Until than, I will always be here and ready tho help in any way I can for the family. Again, THANK YOU, LORD. Sister Linda

Sarah was an amazing woman and a great friend. She always had a positive attitude about life and a smile on her face. I am blessed to have known her and she is deeply missed. To her children, know your mother had many friends at VIMS and she will always be in our hearts.
