SFC George W. (Retired) Gray Obituary
YORKTOWN - On Monday, December 2, 2013 our beloved George W. Gray, received his Honorable Discharge from his earthly home to Eternity, in Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, Virginia. George was born on June 9, 1937, the son of the late Corean Gray Simmons and the late L.D. Gray. He proudly served his country for twenty-six years in the United States Army. He leaves to treasure his precious memories his wife, Queenella Gray; his daughters, Deneen Crowder (Stanley) and Rhoda Perrin; his grandchildren, Duawn Whitley, Devinn Whitley, D�Anne Vaughn and Jaren Dent; his sisters, Alice Robinson (George) and Ella Mauldin; his brothers, John L. Gray and Gene E. Williams; his sisters-in-law, Joan Holloway (Mark) and Paulette Terrell (Kenny); his brother-in-law, Don Pierce (Maxine) and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013, in Grafton Baptist Church, Harris Grove with the Rev. Reginald Bagley officiating and the Rev. Wayne Tucker Eulogist. Interment will follow with full military honors in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, Virginia. Family and friends will assemble at 103 Silver Fox Trace by 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Mr. Gray may be viewed in the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday (today).
