Sherri KRAUCH Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Sherri L. Krauch, 47, passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2010.
Sherri was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a former resident of Norfolk before moving to the Peninsula in 2005.
Sherri was preceded in death by her father, Gary Krauch.
She is survived by her very loving and devoted mother, Carol Krauch who cared for Sherri all her life; and three brothers, Gary Krauch Jr. of Chelmsford, Mass., Darryl Krauch of Hampton, Va., and Robert Krauch of Chesapeake, Va.; six nieces, one nephew, many other loving relatives and close friends including those at the RAI Dialysis Care Center in Newport News.
Sherri was an avid pet lover since her youth when she would come home from walks around the block with several stray dogs. She had many different pets throughout her life, but especially loved her dogs like they were her own kids.
Sherri fought a long hard battle with diabetes and was receiving dialysis for 15 years. Her loving mother cared for her night and day for the past five years since Sherri had quadruple bypass heart surgery. It did indeed take a hurricane, and an army of angels to take her to Heaven. She will be deeply missed.
A private memorial service for immediate family will be held on Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at Amory Funeral Home in Grafton, Va.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.
