Stanley LEICESTER Obituary

SUFFOLK - Stanley Perry Leicester, 85, passed away June 22, 2010, at Sentara Obici Hospital.
He was the son of the late James Thomas and Mary P. Leicester. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Leicester.
Born in Newport News, Stanley was raised in Hilton Village. He was a retired Pharmacist for Peoples Drug. He was a 1954 graduate of MCV School of Pharmacy and also a graduate of Newport News Apprentice School. Stanley was a member of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, Suffolk, Va.
Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Curle Leicester; son, Stanley P. Leicester II of Isle of Wight Co.; daughters, Sylvia Pell of Suffolk, Mary Marcellin of Leesburg, Va., Cathy Ogle of Powhatan, Va.; grandchildren, Lauren, Michael, Richard, Sherry, Christopher, Stephanie, Shannon, Kasey, Grant, and Garrett; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Alec, and Colette; sister, Alma Baldwin of Richmond; niece, Jonel Smith of Richmond.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2010, at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, 213 N. Main Street, Suffolk, VA 23434, by the Rev. Keith Emerson, with burial following the service at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, at the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 W. Washington Street, Suffolk, VA 23434.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 604 Constance Woods Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434.
